Society has started to open back up. For businesses like ours, this creates many challenges as there is no clear roadmap on how to handle “getting back to normal.” What we can tell you is that the team at Green Oaks North Pet Hospital is very excited to announce that our clinic will be open to clients June 21st, 2021! We are thrilled to have face-to-face interaction with you again. Believe us when we say, we have missed you so much!
As we know with Covid, things are always changing, but as of today:
- For now, if you do enter the clinic, we will require you to wear a mask. We must limit the number of clients in the exam room to 1 person. **
- You are welcome to come in with your pet if you can answer no to the following questions!
Have you had a fever, cough, or any shortness of breath today or within the past 14 days?
Have you been in contact with anyone who has had a fever, cough, or any shortness of breath within the past 14 days?
Have you had a positive test for COVID-19 within the past 14 days?
Have you been in contact with anyone within the past 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19?
If you can answer yes, please let us know and we will make other arrangements to see your pet.
When you arrive for your appointment, please call us from the parking lot at 817-860-3087 to let us know you are here. Once we have an exam room ready for you, we will text you (please keep an eye on your phone!) and ask you to bring your pet to our door where someone will meet you and escort you to an exam room. During your pet’s entire appointment, please remain seated and respect social-distancing rules as much as possible. If you need to leave the exam room to use our restroom, you may certainly do so; please leave your pet in the exam room! If no staff member is present in the exam room at the time, leave small pets in their carriers if possible, or advise a staff member at the front desk that your pet will be momentarily unattended. At the conclusion of your visit, a team member will check you out in the room and release you once the reception area is clear. We will ask you to follow the exit signs to leave the building and thank you for bringing your pet to see us!
If you would still prefer us to do a curbside visit for your pet, you can remain in your vehicle, and we will be happy to accommodate this request! If possible, please let us know your preference when you are scheduling the appointment so we can make note of it.
We will continue with the same curbside service you have become used to for medicine/ food pickup, fecal/urine drop-off, and surgery and boarding drop-offs. Thanks to your loyalty, we are a busy clinic. This sometimes means we will not have staff available on arrival to immediately fill a script for you. Calling ahead will also save you time as it is more likely your products will be ready for you on arrival.
If you are dropping off a pet for surgery or boarding etc., we will continue curbside service as well. This will allow us to better control the flow of clients through our lobby.
We are still offering telemedicine appointments for our current clients at www.anipanion.com and can usually fill meds and address minor problems. If after the consult the Doctor feels we need to see your pet, we will get you scheduled. Thank you for your patience and compliance over the last year, and as we transition back to face-to-face appointments. We can’t wait to see you.
**At the discretion of your veterinarian, more than one family member may be permitted to accompany a pet for a euthanasia appointment. Please ask a staff member when you are scheduling your appointment.
